Aluminum Can Recycling Plant: Dedicated Resource Regeneration Factory Design
Aluminum cans, as frequently consumed consumer waste, are characterized by high purity and ease of processing. Building a dedicated aluminum can recycling plant enables efficient resource regeneration, reduces processing costs, and aligns with the demands of green consumption and the circular economy. A medium-sized aluminum can recycling plant (processing an average of 50 tons of aluminum cans per day) has manageable investment, a recycling efficiency exceeding 95%, and a promising market prospect.

I. Core Technology: Efficient Process Adapted to Aluminum Can Characteristics
Aluminum can recycling employs a streamlined five-step process: sorting, crushing, paint removal, smelting, and ingot casting. The sorting process utilizes a combination of manual labor and AI vision sorting machines to quickly separate plastic caps and labels from aluminum cans, achieving a sorting efficiency of 2 tons per hour and ensuring raw material purity. The crushing process employs a specialized shear crusher to break the aluminum cans into 3-5 cm aluminum flakes, avoiding the splashing of aluminum shavings seen in traditional crushing and reducing waste. Paint removal is a crucial step, using a low-temperature pyrolysis furnace (200-250℃) to decompose the paint on the aluminum flakes into recyclable gases, eliminating secondary pollution and achieving a 98% paint removal rate while preserving the original properties of the aluminum.

The smelting process uses two 5-ton medium-frequency induction furnaces. For high-purity aluminum can raw materials, the smelting temperature is controlled at 680-720℃, saving 15% energy compared to traditional scrap aluminum smelting. It also eliminates the need for complex refining; only a small amount of degassing agent is needed to obtain molten aluminum with a purity of over 99.6%. Finally, the aluminum is cast into standard ingots using a continuous casting machine, directly supplying beverage can manufacturers or aluminum processing plants, achieving a closed-loop “can-to-can” recycling process. II. Equipment and Plant Area: Miniaturized and Highly Adaptable Configuration The plant area is 8-10 acres, requiring only one enclosed temporary storage warehouse (100 tons capacity), eliminating the need for a large-scale raw material warehouse and reducing land costs. Core equipment investment is approximately 4-5 million RMB, including an AI vision sorting machine (1 unit) for approximately 800,000 RMB, a shear crusher (1 unit) for approximately 500,000 RMB, a low-temperature pyrolysis furnace (1 unit) for approximately 1.2 million RMB, two medium-frequency induction furnaces for approximately 1.8 million RMB, and a matching paint stripping waste gas treatment device (activated carbon adsorption + catalytic combustion) for approximately 500,000 RMB. The equipment layout is compact, with a short installation period, allowing for production commencement within 3 months.

In terms of environmental protection, crushing dust is collected by a bag filter, and the purified paint stripping waste gas emission concentration is below 10mg/m³. Production wastewater is recycled for cooling after sedimentation and filtration, achieving “zero wastewater discharge,” meeting environmental standards and easy to maintain.
III. Market and Benefits: Low-Risk, High-Return Model
Raw material procurement costs are stable. Through cooperation with waste recycling stations, supermarkets, and community recycling stations, the purchase price of aluminum cans is approximately RMB 8,000-10,000 per ton, lower than that of scrap aluminum. The market price of finished recycled aluminum ingots is approximately RMB 18,000-20,000 per ton, with a gross profit of approximately RMB 8,000-10,000 per ton. With a daily processing capacity of 50 tons of aluminum cans, the annual gross profit can reach RMB 14.4-18 million.
Furthermore, aluminum can recycling aligns with the national “Zero Waste City” construction policy, making it eligible for environmental subsidies (such as a subsidy of RMB 200-300 per ton processed), further enhancing profitability. With the growth of the beverage consumption market and a stable supply of raw materials for aluminum can recycling, the factory can quickly achieve profitability, making it a high-quality investment direction in the resource recycling sector.
